Cars...

So yesterday I had to take my car into the dealership for 2 things...1. What I thought was fill the transmission fluid and 2. Fix my sometimes-working turn signal. Well the second problem was an easy fix. The prongs or something that the lightbulb go into (I don't really know what I'm talking about) were bent, so they just straightened them out and now it works great! The first problem...is still a problem. Tim had told me to get the tranny fluid checked. Ok so...in dumb-girl-who-knows-nothing-about-cars terms, I thought that meant "fill it". Heh...nope. He wanted it "DNR'd" which supposedly means "Drained and Refilled". Which means I have to go back down there and have it done right. How am I supposed to know what to do?! Seriously.

In other car news, I miss Betty and Pearl. Betty is our 1980 Chevy truck, and she's pretty much been out of commission for 3+ years now. Pearl is our sporty Mazda Miata. And she's got some broken parts, so she's just chillin' in the driveway.

Our Jeep works fine - I think. Apparantly it was broken yesterday, but since Tim drove home, I'm assuming he fixed it...at least temporarily. Once we close on the house (we're still waiting), one of the first things Tim is going to do, is take the top off the Jeep. It's been killing us to drive around with the hardtop on. And since we'll be living closer to our nieces and nephew, we'll be able to take them for rides!!

Just for you, Ash!

Alrighty...my first blog. I guess I should think of something exciting to blog about.

Tim and I have put an offer on a house in Riverton! That's exciting! The offer has been accepted and we're in the waiting period. Just waiting, and waiting, and waiting to hear back from the mortgage people to make sure that our prequalifications were enough, and that we can actually get into this house. It's a beautiful house, built in 1977 with new carpet, new paint, ALL new appliances (wowza!!) and it's on 1/3 acre. In fact, I think I can scrounge up a picture of it. Let's see if I can figure out how to post it....
Ah, there we go. Took me a few minutes. I can't wait to have a winter where I don't have to scrape my car windows before going to work, or listen to music/movies as loud as I want to. I'm crossing my fingers, my toes, and everything else I can cross in hopes that this will all go through.
I hope you enjoyed my first blog. Tune in next time (who knows when that will be!!).
