Gifts Make Me Happy!

Ever have those days when you bite anyone and everyone's heads off? You have no reason for it...nothing significant happened to make you agitated, yet everything bothers you and makes you angry. Yup, I had one of those days yesterday. I had a nice lunch with a couple of friends, and that helped my mood, and the afternoon was a bit better than the morning had been. I had texted Tim during the day, so he knew of my crankiness. Then after getting off work, I called my dad just to chat. I mentioned to him that it was one of those days, and I was glad to be going home.

So. I get home, feed the fish, start laundry, and look at a few things on the computer. Yes! Tim's home! I got my "I miss you" kiss, and then he disappeared under his car somewhere. Oh well, back to the computer I guess. After ten or fifteen minutes, the doorbell rang, which was odd....We very rarely have visitors. Then I thought that maybe Tim had locked himself out. I wouldn't put it past him haha! Turns out it was my beautiful sister Sara (who recently landed a job at the floral shop in the library!) and she was carrying a cute flower arrangement, FOR ME!!!

I asked her who they were from...."Read the card!" Here's what the card said: "This person wished to remain anonymous." ... Ok, so that didn't help me! I had to use process of elimination. I told 2 family members that I was having a rough day: Tim and Dad. So I asked if it was Dad. Her response was "No." So then I asked if it was Tim. This is the part where I tell you that I can't lie, and so if I'm trying to, you can really really tell. And Sara is MUCH worse. One simple "No" and I might've been convinced. But instead, she said "Why don't you ask him?"

Turns out they were from him! He was trying to hide it because we're supposed to be watching our money over the next couple months. But I love that he thought to get me flowers! He rarely gets them for me, and at first it kinda bothered me, but now it's made getting flowers more romantic and spontaneous and meaningful. I love Tim!

Tim: Getting the Sillies Out.

After the parade on the 3rd, Tim and our nieces Haley and Heather, and our nephew Nathan had a blast playing in the leftover cooler ice water. I wan't as festive, and kept my body upright and my hair dry, and did my best to stay away from the little crazies. Here's some proof that they are all wild!

Happy July 1st!!!

Well, I survived June, and it looks like you did too! In the month of June, I developed a deeper love for the band Apocalyptica. While I liked the songs Tim played in the background, I never really listened to them. I missed their concert when they were here because I was too much of a pansy, and I regret that. This song is probably the song that turned me on to this band the most. Keep in mind that this is live. The last minute is my favorite. Those are high notes for even a violin. I love the emotion they show in their music, and you can tell that they play for the music. Everything is about the music. Enjoy!
